Class Policy & Disclosures

This course is designed to be completed in 5 weeks. Because space is limited, we ask that you commit to the day and time you have selected. We understand circumstances may arise, causing a class to be missed. One make-up class may be offered at the instructor’s discretion. Blocks of sessions are indicated on the web site (glassieladies.com) where the student can select the teaching block desired, if available, and pay the instructional fee. The fee must be paid before the first session of each teaching block. Upon receipt of the instructional fee of $250, the following conditions will go into effect: ❖ The student/artist will receive instruction on the construction of a stained glass piece. This includes preparing pattern, glass selection, cutting, grinding, foiling, soldering, framing with zinc, and cleaning/polishing. All lessons will be in the copper foil “Tiffany” method. ❖ The studio will provide tools and supplies necessary to complete his/her initial project. ❖ Each instructional class consists of 2-hour sessions for five (5) meetings for a total of 10 hours. ❖ If more time is needed to complete his/her project, studio time is $10 per hour. ❖ For safety, closed-toed shoes must be worn at all times during the class period. The project may be stored at the studio until completion. However, if there is no activity on the project for a period of 2 months, the studio will contact the student/artist for disposition of the project. If the studio cannot reach anyone by the provided telephone or email and if there is no action from the contact effort, the studio can, within 10 days of attempt to contact, choose to do what it deems necessary in the disposition of the project.
